Where did JUMBO Adventure Co. come from?
Our name, JUMBO Adventure Co., reflects both the big adventures we inspire and a nod to local history. “Jumbo” symbolizes grand experiences in the outdoors, and it also honors the legendary circus elephant Jumbo, who became part of St. Thomas, Ontario’s history. Just like Jumbo was larger than life, our goal is to provide big opportunities for adventure—wherever your journey takes you!
Who We Are
We’re Aaron and Rachel, two adventure-seekers who love the freedom of exploring the water. JUMBO Adventure Co. started in 2025 with a simple problem—we wanted kayaks but couldn’t get over how much space they took up. Scrolling through Facebook Marketplace, searching for a deal on kayaks and a trailer, we realized traditional kayaks just weren’t practical for spontaneous adventures. That’s when we discovered inflatable kayaks—easy to store, transport, and launch from almost anywhere.
The more we thought about it, the more we realized we weren’t the only ones craving the freedom to paddle without limits. That’s why we created JUMBO Adventure Co. - to make kayaking more accessible, flexible, and fun. Whether you're chasing sunsets on Lake Erie, winding through Elgin County’s scenic waterways, or setting off on a new adventure, we’re here to help you explore without boundaries - anytime, anywhere.
